Paid Leave Works for Connecticut
When the Connecticut legislature approved the creation of a statewide paid family and medical leave program in 2019, it sought to improve the quality of life for workers in Connecticut by providing more people time for care and recovery - without risking their paycheck. Four years later, we're happy to say that CT Paid Leave is living up to its promise, with over one hundred thousand people - and counting - having received benefits.
CT Paid Leave has helped provide peace of mind to those who need to take time away from work to care for a loved one, welcome a new child, or focus on their own health. Moreover, it has provided a valuable tool for retaining and straightening our workforce as Connecticut grows its population and economy.
